What it does

A bundle can look great for the customer and quietly break your margin. This tool compares the discount story against your actual fees and costs so you know before the offer goes live.

How the math works

Discount amount = standalone total - bundle price. Fee total = bundle price x fee rate + fixed fee. Profit = bundle price - fee total - bundle cost - shipping cost. Minimum price for target margin = (bundle cost + shipping cost + fixed fee) / (1 - fee rate - target margin).

Try it with real numbers

  • A bundle priced at $119 can still miss your target margin once order fees and shipping are removed from the discounted total.
  • Helps you compare the discount you are showing the customer against the price you actually need to preserve margin.

Good to know

  • Bundle performance depends on the combined cost structure, not just the size of the discount the buyer sees.
  • If marketplaces or processors charge on the discounted total, the bundle may need a higher floor price than you expected to protect margin.
  • Treat this as a planning aid before you turn the bundle into a permanent offer or an ad-led promotion.
